Youth Choir Mission Tour 2025: The Lone Star Tour • First Baptist Roswell

This year, Youth Choir Mission Tour embarks on an exciting and ambitious, week long tour to the great state of Texas on what we are calling: “The Lone Star Tour.” Over the course of these 7 days, beginning and ending with a sending and closing home concert on each book-ended Sunday here in Roswell, our students will be flying to Texas for a 5 day long out-of-state tour to serve with our hearts, minds, souls, and hands along the I-35 corridor of Central Texas. In Texas, we’ll land in San Antonio and serve communities in San Antonio, San Marcos, Waco, Hamilton, and depart from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. While on tour, we’ll have the opportunity to offer worship concerts at churches and local area ministries, see and experience fun historical, cultural, and play sites, and engage in needed, supportive, hands-on mission work in local communities along the way. This promises to be an unforgettable worship-filled and missional experience for your students to take part in. With our biggest Mission Tour planned to date, we need all hands on deck as we seek to follow the ‘Lone Star’ across the Lone Star State.

REQUIRED PARTICIPATION: Because of the time, energy, effort, and resources needed to embark on this trip, by participating in Mission Tour, your student(s) are agreeing and committing to being active participants in ALL Mission Tour Activities, both here at home, and ‘on the road,’ including any “bonus” Mission Tour rehearsals, parent and/or student meetings, the “Send-off Concert,” and the “Home Concert.” The “Send-off Concert” and the “Home Concert” is mandatory and must be attended by all participants.

COST: The tour cost is $450.00 and includes lodging, transportation, ALL activities, and meals. A portion of your student's "tour cost" will be refunded back to them in increments throughout the tour at each meal for food. A set amount of this money will be given to your student at each meal to ensure they have an appropriate amount of money to use on a good meal! Souvenirs and extra spending money are NOT included. $100 deposit secures your spot DUE by Spring Break, Sunday, April 6th. The remaining balance is DUE Sunday, June 15th!

For each student 18 years or younger, a notorized travel affidavit will be required before we embark on tour, signed by their parent/guardian. We will have a notorary available through church to handle this step of the process. All travelers, 16 years or older, will be ask to submit a copy of their Georgia ID (must be a REAL-ID as of May 2025), or a copy of their passport information and signature page. We ask that they travel with their ID and/or Passport during the trip. After arrival in Texas, any passports will be collected for safe keeping and returned to the student for their flight home.

A seperate form will be sent out after registration for student/parent completion, allowing you to upload and submit the travel affidavit, and a copy of their ID, with whom that is applicable.

I understand and assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation and do hereby release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless First Baptist Church of Roswell, GA, and its agents from any and all liability that may arise out of participation in this activity.

I hereby give my permission and consent to participation for this participant, in the event/trip described above. I fully understand that this event may take place away from the church grounds and that myself/my student will be under the supervision of the designated staff and/or volunteers on the stated dates. I give my permission for myself/my student to travel away from the campus and grounds of First Baptist Roswell, from Atlanta, GA to the State of Texas via air travel, travel through Texas on an appointed transportation carrier, and travel from the State of Texas to Atlanta, GA and back to the church campus and grounds.
